Avail upto 40% solar subsidy on total installation cost as per Government guidelines*. Solar households will have a discounted discount rate only by upregulating their tariffs after compliance with this scheme.

In a major initiative, the Indian government has set itself a target of 100,000 MW of electricity generated by solar energy in the country as part of the National Solar Mission, 40,000 MW of which are to be supplied to various sectors via solar rooftops . At this capacity size, Gujarat has been given the target of 8,024 MW solar power capacity by 2021-22, of which 3,200 MW will be contributed by the rooftop segment.

The installation of large-scale rooftop solar systems is one of the best initiatives as there is no space requirement in such systems. Energy is consumed where it is generated; there would be no loss of transmission or wheel, and such facilities would be of interest to the general public as well as to the public services of the state. In order to promote large-scale solar roof systems on private residential roofs, the government has therefore introduced a subsidy program for solar roofs in the residential sector. This scheme will be called "SURYAGujarat" (Surya Urja Rooftop YojanaGujarat) with the following provisions:
Goal: The goal for solar roof systems is to serve 2 lakh consumers in 2019-20 and a total of 8 lakh consumers at the end of the year.
Any capacity of solar roof system output from 1 kilowatt DC can be installed regardless of the permissible load of the consumer. However, the funding is limited to a maximum output of 10 kW.In a major initiative, the Indian government has set itself a target of 100,000 MW of electricity generated by solar energy in the country as part of the National Solar Mission, 40,000 MW of which are to be supplied to various sectors via solar rooftops . 1kW solar saves 154+ trees and prevents 20+ tons of CO2 emission. Solar panels are installed at over 2 million homes/businesses in the US alone!

Quick payback period of 3-4 years guaranteed, with pure profit following thereafter - which is very effective for small businesses in India at this time as you will not be able see them until after 30th December or so when they start accumulating money!
